How much this show means to me!

Not even sure if this is the right forum to post this in (being new to the 10club) but just wanted to share.

Pearl jam has been mine and my girlfriends favorite band for years (hers for about 3 years since she's from England and had never heard them before til she met me haha) and this is our first show, which I am so blessed to have gotten tickets from TM.. Which almost didn't happen. The First person in line at the store got 2 tickets and the second person was told it sold out and they left immediately. Me being the 3rd was instantly drained. I started to walk out of the store when the guy shouted across the way that 2 just popped up and he held them for me and let me get back to the front of the line!! Kinda felt like it was supposed to happen that way.

Their music has pulled me through many stages wether they are good or bad it's always been there for me. It's been a very rough year for me with my grandpa passing in February at 90, and my father 2 months later at 61. Pearl jams music has helped carry me through it more than I could explain. given to fly has been my favorite song since the first time I heard it years ago and has always brought the best memories of my parents to mind. So I'm hoping and praying to hear it at the Seattle 12/6 show!! Almost as if its a closure for me. This show will have tons of sentimental value to me. The 10club community is great and I regret not learning more about it years ago!!

I've never been so excited, can't wait for December!

  • Cheers man. Glad you got tickets. What a memorable first show you will have in the bands backyard nonetheless. I too visited Seattle for a PJ show years ago. I loved every inch of that city and its culture.

I'm already starting to feel it! I hope they make a DVD of the show so I can relive it whenever I want!
