So anyone ever had their computer blocked by ticketmaster? I'm getting a 403 Forbidden heading and the webpage says:

From everything I've read up on it you're right about the 24 hours...but most people say ticketmaster says they're out of luck or basically piss off!

Fortunately I already got my tickets...but I liked checking back to see if anything fell through the cracks. Off to the phone I go.

It only happens if you were on stubhub or another resale site and also refreshing TM. If they see that in the cookies the they will block you on suspicion of being a broker OR another reason. I used to work in an office of music lovers and often times we would buy tickets to the same show 4-5 of us all at once from the same IP trying to get tix, knocked some of us offline.

that has nothing to do with it its about searching too many times within a short amount of time

ive been banned many times never had stub or another site open

i got blocked too...now i got LGE25 behind the stage for LA1, best option...had to use my phone
    I think i could get better tickets... :? :?
  • I got and released tix about 100 times for OKC before finally settling on the one they opened up with "restricted view" just one section left of stage and 3rd row!

Then when i put them in my cart, signed in to my account and finally hit the "confirm" button I got the Forbidden 403 error. I was SOOO pissed! I called, it took me forever to get through. By some miracle, they still had the same seat, but the chick was a BIOTCH and would not get me through to someone who could unblock my computer so that I could try for Seattle or LA tix. It was 5 min till tickets went on sale and she wouldn't even stay on the line with me that long so that I could have a spot via phone. What company doesn't even compensate you to such a small degree (wouldn't have cost them anything but an additional few minutes on their 800-number) and treats you like you're the problem? Ticketmaster. :fp:

Luckily, I was able to turn off my wi-fi and get a Seattle seat via my phone, but I am just dumbfounded by the complete failure of the system - real people get shut out and scalpers get through - and angered by the complete lack of customer service.

First world problems, I know. I'm gonna stop bitching now and be stoked that I'll be going to a couple of shows.

Yah TM will block an IP address for 24 hours if it hits there server too much. I think it's aimed to protect its servers from bots.

I've run into all the time trying to buy tickets when i'm at work. I work for a big company and I think we all appear to be from the same ip address. Everytime there's a big on sale in Canada we seem to get blocked.. lol.

I wasn't blocked by Ticketmaster, but I ended up pulling up another pair of tickets and my credit card blocked it thinking it was fraud. :fp:

I got blocked about 11 am. I think it must have been because I was checking Stub Hub now and then to see how much tix were going for on there! It does say I'm forbidden to enter. So I never ended up getting the Pittsburgh or Buffalo tix, but thank goodness my son got me a Philly 1 ticket! :D
So does this mean I'll be unblocked by 11 am on Sunday??

Do you have to keep it unplugged for a particular length of time?

  • Posted about this earlier. I got blocked on three computers after the first hour of the sales. I switched to apps on my iphone and ipad.

Whats hilarious is, I as a fan who is going to actually go to show get blocked. While these asshole scalpers sit there refreshing and buying up all the tickets just to flip them. But what do you expect from TM.

Should work right away. I found you get blocked when you have too many windows open and let one time out.

the only ip that will change right away would be your local ip but they are blocking your public ip for that to change it depends on your isp and usually will take a bit longer anywhere from a few hours to 24 hours unplugged depends on your service

Yep. Your exactly right. Because I unplugged/rebooted everything and was still blocked before Leg 2 sales happened. In fact I'm still blocked right now. I guess we can't try for TM sales and look whats already on stubhub at the same time (just to know how screwed we are). Meanwhile all these fuckers are just buying tickets and "warehousing" them to load 'em on to stubhub after the sales are over. We really need to have some all 10c shows, this would solve the problem.

the guy/gal had the idea that 10c must keep fan club ticket sales in their websites instead give it to other selling companies and lose the fees, and for stop the website from crashing and the whole cheating idiotic shitty bullshit with f-5 system,by doing this lottery thing,
    i suggest,10c should fuckin double his/her salary..NOW
