Skips Between Tracks -- Real Player and Windows Media

When I download Basecamp boots and then burn them to a CD, I wind up with skips between tracks. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to avoid the skips? It really disrupts the flow of the boot listening experience.

BTW, I am burning with Windows Media and Real Player. (Thanks to those who already answered this question regarding iTunes).

I think it is a problem with how they create the MP3 files. I'm not really sure why they can't fix it, seems kind of lazy.

It cant actually be fixed at all. The downside of the mp3 file format is that u get a couple of miliseconds of silence at the beginning and end of each track which is very noticeable on live recordings etc. Only way around is different file formats

If you listen to it ON itunes, it sounds seamless. When I burned it to CD from itunes, thats when I heard the gap. I wonder if there is an option for the gaps, just like on an ipod you can change the seconds between songs.
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you. :)

I dl'ed FLAC, and then burned it directly onto CD with Winamp. No annoying skips.

I get the skips on iTunes. How did you get yours not to?
