Technics that plays only 45's

the technics SL-700....same as the SL-1200, but smaller & only plays 45's

    At first this seemed a little extravagant to me but my Goldring band driven turntable is totally manual- meaning I even have to lift off the platter and move the band to change between 45 RPM and 33 RPM. I'm guessing that will eventually wear the band out faster. A 45 only turntable along side would be fantastic!

    I have a Technics SL-1700 that only plays 45s. Unfortunately, it's not supposed to work like that.
