Closing Song On Each PJ Record

Look at this list of the final songs on each PJ album:

Ten: Release
Vs.: Indifference
Vitalogy: Foxymophandlemama
No Code: Around The Bend
Yield: All Those Yesterdays
Binaural: Parting Ways
Riot Act: All Or None
Avocado: Inside Job
Backspacer: The End

I'm sure I'm not the first one to notice this, I was just going through all my studio PJ albums and realized that the closing songs on nearly each one is spectacular. I guess they do it on purpose, they definitely leave you wanting more. Well except for that creepy Vitalogy closer (don't get me wrong, VItalogy's my favorite album).

"There's a $10,000 bill in it for you."
"Oh yeah? Which president's on it?"
"Uh, all of them. They're having a party. Jimmy Carter's passed out on the couch."

I always consider Immortality to be the closer on Vitalogy because while it is not the last track, it is the last song that has the potential to actually be played.

Same here. I never consider Stupid Mop to be the last track, it's always Immortality.

OP is right though, they always save a gem for the last track on every album. If the rumored track listing is correct for Lightning Bolt and the last song is "Sans Finis", I'm very intrigued because it's listed to being close to an 8 minute song. Sounds very interesting.

Does the hidden track "Hummus" (I think that's what it's called) from Yield count?

I wouldn't count on it because the rumored tracklisting did not have Lightning Bolt or Future Days on it and the name of the album was Tides. I think it was complete BS and someone on this site even admitted to making it up.

Where are you seeing the rumored track listing? I saw one on the day the album was announced, but now I can't find it.
