Just as hopes emerge for new Israeli-Palestinian peace talks, the official Facebook page of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah political party is lauding a convicted terrorist for killing 61 “Zionists” in a series of attacks.

The two sides' perceptions of Abdallah Barghouti, the bomb-making mastermind behind the infamous 2001 Sbarro attack and at least four other suicide bombings, is as good a measure as any for how far apart they are. Arrested in 2003, Barghouti is serving 67 life terms in solitary confinement in an Israeli prison. But to the party that rules the West Bank, Barghouti is a hero.

From your link: 'Officials at the Anti-Defamation League said they could not confirm the Facebook page's connection to Fatah'

Meanwhile, illegal Israeli settlements continue being built, in defiance of international law and the international consensus (excluding Israel and the U.S) on a peace agreement.

'...Israel's former foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman, wrote on Facebook that there was "no solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, at least not in the coming years, and what's possible and important to do is conflict-management".

Naftali Bennett, economics minister, insisted construction on Jewish settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem would continue, regardless of talks.

...Israel is pushing for negotiations to last up to a year, fuelling concern among critics who believe Netanyahu is seeking to give the appearance of diplomatic co-operation while stalling for as long as possible on any outcome.

Then again, we know you just don't like Arabs in general Godfather. So you'll jump at any little opportunity to try and blame the Israeli occupation on the people being occupied.

ummmm not so true, I did run off on a rant and posted some thing's I wish had not and I apologize to any Arab people on the train I may have offended, in my heart of hearts I know that all of us are no different from each other in one way or another......(you have know idea what it took to spit that out  )

but my point in posting the artical is that it seems to me that peace in the middle east is "almost" impossible,I know there is unrest everywhere but I have never seen (on the news anyway) a people so violent and then brag about it while holding the head of their "enemy" or eating their liver,it just angers me...the middle east has been at war with each other sense recorded history I think ? and I don't understand why the US feels the need to try and change the way the middle eastern people live among each other the US has tried for decades to side with one group or another to "help" .....but always end up on the wrong side of the fight, until the middle east tjhreatins us we should just stay away from their conflicts.

As long as these settlements continue peace talks can never be achieved. They are sickening. Both sides need to set aside their differences and act like men. No more settlements/walls and no more killing on both sides.
