Rotoprone bed, the space bed my dad is in in the ICU

This thing is insane, but seems to be doing the trick. Fingers crossed.

    Thanks. It was frightening at first to see it, but after watching this clip I felt a little more at ease about how he must feel in it (even though he's sedated).

    first sorry to hear that your dad is in the hospital
    2nd, happy that if he has to be in, he has the best of technology and care.
    the stryker bed works kind of like this, but it also goes vertical, its a good thing
    if you don't mind, what is he in for? back/neck injury?

    He has cancer, it has moved to his lungs and has had embolisms from the chemo in his lungs. Recently he hasn't been able to breathe. Last wed evening he went in cause he was coughing up blood and ended up having an episode where he has stopped breathing. As of now he's on a breathing tube and in a hospital induced coma. Apparently they have done this to help his lungs heal.

    Thank you for the good vibes, he needs all he can get. The bed is supposed to help aerate his lungs. All results have been good (small, but good) at this point.
