I heard from a very reliable person that the guys working the merch booths (venue employees not pj's) bought 80 for themselves.

expect to see them on ebay

If you're impatient and don't want to wait until the ten club puts them on their site. I personally couldn't pay that much on principle, knowing that the person I'm paying to is the exact reason I couldn't get one at the show to begin with, but it's up to you since it's your money.

Additionally, the assholes were selling 5 and 6 to fans that asked. It really took less than 10 minutes for every booth to sell out (at least every one I checked).
And your info makes a conversation I had with one vendor make a little more sense. After checking 4 other booths, I asked "Any chance you've got any left here?"
He answers "Nope, all booths are sold out by now."
I said "Probably because the vendors are selling 5 and 6 copies to people" and he has the NUTSACK to say "Nope, only one per person." I say "Yeah, you know that, and I know that. But they obviously don't." He starts a fight with me! Insists the "one per person" thing some more. I'm like, "I saw it with my own damn eyes!!" He really was adamant. Fucking jerk probably bought 10 himself. ARRGGGHH!!

    WTF?????

This is something 10c or Pearl Jam should look into!! If you can´t trust the people at the merch boohts how will you ever stop this insane scalping (if you can use that word about posters)?
I thought that the people in the merch booths were people travelling with the band but obviously not...

Stop making the posters available at the venues then, so true fans can get to them on a website or 10c!

I was the 4th person in line at door B to get in and didn't get a poster at the first booth. I think only 10 people did at that booth. Granted each of those 10 asked for 4 posters each and got them. Then I ran to booth 2 where the only reason I got one was because the jerk next to me, after buying 6, told the merch guy to get him another one because it was smudged and he wouldn't be able to sell it on ebay. So I was like, "hey, don't put that back, I'll take it!!!!" So when I bought it, the ebay guy was all pissed cause there were no other posters to replace his 'smudged' one. There's a little paint on the M in Pearl Jam. Jesus christ.

But yeah, they were gone in seconds it seems.

i've always said they should do a presale on the 10C website or make it an option for those people who buy 10C tickets for a specific show to pre-order the poster for that show. I understand they don't want to produce 5000 of the poster because then the value goes down, but it's supply and demand here. If 3000 people are clamoring for a poster, why don't they print 3000. They don't reap the benefits of the value rising, it's the people who own them. If they want to print 3000 pre-ordered posters at $25-$30 a pop, that would bring in an amazing chunk of change. Then they can sell some at the venues too and us 10Clubbers would be able to chill out instead of going crazy trying to get these things.

fastest sellout ever. people were buying them by the dozen (literally). they were selling them a half our before doors opened. if you walked into the venue to get your 10C ticket there was a stand there. my friend bought 8 fucking posters. i bought four myself but gave three to the three dudes i want to the show with.
So what did your friend do with the 7 he doesn't need? :) Any chance he'll be as kind as you were? I REALLY need one of these.

  • Wow that is totally out of control! If I got up to the stand and asked for a poster and they said "sorry all sold out" after the guy in front of me bought more then 1 (let alone 8 or more...fuck!), I think I would actually punch him in the face, stuff $20 in his pocket and take my poster. Help him up, and say 'thanks'.

In the Goods section there were posters available for the Canada 05 tour but if you didn't notice it within the day it was posted you wasn't gonna get it. They sold out pretty fast except one...if my memory serves me right. I only got a couple cause my debit card didn't have the loot right then and there. We can only hope this will be the case somewhere down the line for this current tour.

  • I went to four different stands. I was also 10th in one of the lines at Gate A to begin with, but I didn't find it hard to get them. I got one at one booth and the merch guys only sold 2 at the most per person that I saw. I then went to a second booth where they only had 30, then I ran a lil ways and got to one where they sold out while I was in line, and finally ran to another booth by Gate C or D where they had a 150 or so and easily got one. I only got two b/c I'm trading for a DC 06 and then a Borgata 2 05.

I was told that there were fans walking out of the box office with posters atound 5 or 530. I think many of them made their way over there. This was a fast sellout though- I was the 6th person on line to get in, I ran to the merch booth, got my poster pretty quickly, and they were gone 10 seconds after I got mine.
  • Yeah, they were selling them before the doors opened. That's probably why they went so fast. They were letting a few people inside the doors at a time to pick up tickets, and there was a table set up. I got one at about 6.

I got posters to 4 of the 5 shows I went to, got shut out last night. What a joke. I saw people walking out with their 10C tix and 10 posters in hand, while everyone else wasn't being let in. Obviously the band nor anyone else seems to care.

Band probably had no clue. I'd hope once they find out, they do something about it, though.

    grrrrrr

I am to the point that I wish they no longer produce posters for shows anymore OR they just sell them to 10 Club members via the website and not at the shows. Over the past couple of years, the poster fetish has gotten out of control...with making money being the root of it all.

sorry, i just reread this post - but still this is almost as bad as the merch guys buying them. you shouldnt use these as collateral to trade. let the rest of us have a turn. the rule is one per person.

the merch stand by the 10club window didnt have any when i got my tickets as soon as the doors opened. there were none 5 minutes later at any of the 5 stands that i went to.

    but the concert was awesome.

Oh yeah that in itself is a LOT of fun... stalking the 10c site all day for 2 weeks, no thank you.

NY 2 is kinda ugly though, if you ask me... worse than Camden 2. I can understand wanting one if you were there though. Not worth $100, wait until the market calms down.

i did a little investigating of my own on ebay....

looks like someone named buyfor05 must be one of these employees from the arena that "bought" 80 of them early...

they've been altering their "but it now" prices and selling a bunch of these posters....even selling a combo of night 1 and night 2 posters at a pretty discounted rate....considering what just the night2 poster has been going for...also, if you look at past items this seller has recently sold...they're all pucks from stevens/daneyko retirment nights at the arena...clearly someone that works there and takes a good amount of what they should be selling to customers and sells them on ebay...

    what a bunch of shit.

i also saw some folks coming out into the parking lot carrying many, many posters to their cars...and this was at like 6 pm! i'm like what the F@CK? when i go over and ask them how they got em, they proudly exclaim to me how they found out the posters were being sold in the willcall area where 10clubbers were picking up their tix before doors were officially open...

i run over to get one and nothing...i ask the dude selling the tshirts if he was selling posters and he says yeah, but they sold real fast...i'm like no shit, you don't have a sign up saying one per person, he just shrugs....i bet this is one of the bastards that work there that is making a killing on ebay...if any of you buy from these people...when you get their addresses on the tube they send to you...you should go to their house and kick their asses, take your money back and take the rest of their posters and distribute them to all of us that got shut out at the shows!

    fuckers...they still stand!
