she wanders through the garden
feet bare upon the soft soil
sun reaches out to embrace her
the wind caresses her cheek
moving short hair from her eyes
she speaks softly to every plant
touches each one gently and smiles
butterflies, birds, squirrels, turtles
all come to her and share her bounty
pleased she opens her arms to the heavens
breathes in deeply the soft scent of the sea
longing to understand the need to harm
given freely from lips, pens, hands
she stays to her garden to harm none
love is no crime
and yet she is punished
feet bare upon the soft soil
sun reaches out to embrace her
the wind caresses her cheek
moving short hair from her eyes
she speaks softly to every plant
touches each one gently and smiles
butterflies, birds, squirrels, turtles
all come to her and share her bounty
pleased she opens her arms to the heavens
breathes in deeply the soft scent of the sea
longing to understand the need to harm
given freely from lips, pens, hands
she stays to her garden to harm none
love is no crime
and yet she is punished

that's what you did for me. I think I'll share it someday with another poet who writes from the heart.
I think it will be loved.
