Thoughts on New Stage Design..the bird thing

At one point I thought:
OMG what is that thing up there?
Is this PJ's Spinal Tap version of the Stonehenge props?
OMG it goes up and down!!!!!
OMG that thing is flapping it's arms while Given To Fly was playing. Am I seeing things right??!!!
Where the hell did all these lighted colored globes come from?
etc etc
and btw if you were wondering I think the new stage set up/design is their best yet

I could see the bird flying, how it was the beach hut when the acoustic set was played...it was very cool

I said to my wife during the London show that the big globes were going to get tangled as soon as mike and Jeff started hitting them and sure enough Jeff whacked one and tangled if and had to go up and untangle them before the situation got worse. It was pretty funny.
i can't find any pics
it was only during given to fly that i saw this happen(london)
can anyone else confirm?
i only noticed that it was lowered a bit, but i had side view seats
The lights look like a circle of stars when they are up high.
When they are down low, they look like lightbulbs hanging from a ceiling.
It's nice that they give Ed something to swing on too!
I really appreciated the screens on both sides of the stage. I hope they keep those for their future shows.
congratulations on being at both shows and not noticing it!
but, um, ya, whatever dude!

i hope it's not random but has some type of symbolism that ties in with lightning bolt and the rest of the album.
The lights were by far the best part, wonder if they planned on pushing them around or if it was just off the cuff.
i also would love to know more about who designed it
