Props to Eddie Vedder....
...for controlling the crowd...when he said, "do you trust me" and spoke to the crowd right before what ended up almost a 3 hour rain delay, I feel he saved us all from what could have been a very chaotic, scary, and angry mob. Calming effect and I felt as everyone knew the show would go on by what he said. Just pointing it out that he had great crowd control and kept everyone sane...so we trusted and got like 25 more songs...will always trust ya!!

Either way, everyone was awesome and very very patient, and Ed certainly had a hand in that, and considering the circumstances, it went as well as it possibly could have... And EV sounded INCREDIBLE, which certainly didn't hurt.
I only really saw people start to crack in the train station. IMO, it wasn't THAT bad... It was a weird scene, but ultimately just a test of one's patience (except for the woman who collapsed in the platform - that was potentially very dangerous, since 10,000 people were clogging up the entrances for paramedics. Luckily she woke up, although probably still went to hospital). For the most part it was Really just more of what people had been dealing with for hhours and hours: standing in incredible temperatures jammed in with tons of people waiting in line longer than expected. That was just when some people reached their breaking point and turned into big whiny babies. But again, others took it like champs and made the best of it, which I really appreciated. And even those who were losing it seemed simply exhausted, not mad (with a few noteable exceptions). I was personally pretty thrilled once actually on the train because it was well air-conditioned and I somehow lucked out with a seat! :P
And after all that, the biggest props to Eddie and the rest of the band, and the Wrigley staff especially. I was impressed with all! Talk about rolling with the punches!
As for Eddie asking us to trust him, something about that moment will always be in my memories. So many from that night will be, for sure! Ups and uncontrollable downs(weather, mostly.)it's all part of the experience!
