My Wrigley Story
My wrigley story is quite the long one so be prepared
My day stared on three hours of sleep the day before and working all night long. Sleep and exhaustion wasn't a factor at all though, I was just extremely excited to get to wrigley and hopefully get tickets. After some short packing and two fairly short train rides I was there! The moment i stepped off the train my heart sunk, after all the waiting i was finally there. For me finding people that share the same passion for pearl jam as me has always been near impossible. Yesterday was a far different case. The first couple I met (red mosquito 75) were the nicest most welcoming people I may have ever met! Thank you soo much for that! I later met up with PorchRadio, whom i had planed to meet. I must say he too was one of the coolest dudes I've met in a long damn time! After a few hours of standing by the ticket windowing with these guys holding my 10c sign asking for tickets. Im sure everyone there saw me hahah I talked to a lot of people and most people just politely said no, I'm sorry. One lady went out of her way to take me around the stadium and ask people around the streets for a ticket FOR ME!
Right around 415ish just as i was starting to lose all hope, I talked to a younger gentleman for about 20 mins about how much this so means to me and how long ive been looking for tickets. We then talked about his friend and why he's here and claimed his buddy was getting engaged today. A couple mins later he jumped up and i could see that his friend did in fact purpose in front of the marquee. He then came back five mins later and sold me his ticket (for FACE) because he felt i deserved it and he wanted to make my day! What a great guy! I eventually made it into the stadium only to sit in the wrong seats on accident... The people around didn't care though and they welcomed me with open arms and were extremely friendly! Regardless of how hot it was, that i wasn't with friends, didn't get the merch i wanted, or that i got stranded until 5am in chicago, July 19th will forever be one of the best days of my life! Thank to everyone that made it possible and all the people i talked to and hung out with. PJ fans proved to me that we are THE BEST FANS IN THE WORLD! THANK YOU! See you in Pittsburgh!
