take the "R6" regional rail from Manyunk to the "Market Street East" station. Get off at market street and walk the eight blocks, East till you get to Front street. Turn right at front street (or just ask people there) and look for the ferry over to Camden. It will drop you off right behind the venue and there will probably be lots of PJ fans in line.

ferries definitely run after the show (don't worry, you won't get stuck in camden)... you may have to wait in line though... then, i advise you guys rock out in old city (which is right where the ferry lets you off in philly)... there's some really fun bars down there. one is called "drinkers" on market and 2nd street. you can buy cans of PBR for two dollars, but if you shotgun your can, it's only one dollar. the juke box is full of PJ, and they have a tin cup on the third shelf above the bar... if you throw a quarter in there, the entire bar gets free shots... as the night wears on and people start drinking more, quarters start raining down all over the place... it's awesome.

its 1 of our neighborhoods in philly.

ron burgundy......my cousin and i are taking the train from the yunk too, but we're not heading over to camden until 7ish. after the show, you can catch a cab from old city back to the yunk for a little over $20. is it thursday yet!?!?

I forget which Native American dialect it comes from, but Manayunk translates to "where we go to drink."
I used to live there until a few months ago. Its correct that the R6 train doesn't run very late. Cabs are probably closer to $25 from center city/old city.

That's fantastic!! I just looked it up on Wiki. It's the Lenape Indians, and it's form their word Manaiung, which means river, but translates literally to "place to drink". Awesome!

You can actually take the SEPTA bus from Manayunk to Penn's landing...its only $2 and it will drop you off very near to where the ferry is....also, depending on the time, you take the SEPTA bus back as well...they have a convenient trip planner thing on their website - http://www.septa.org
