Its a bit funny watching someone's first post slamming everyone on the board, when the post actually represents his (or her?) fall to our level... lol.0

7) Any thread about a poster...I believe most people in 10club are 30+ years old. Who is collecting these posters? I have never met a person who has 1 poster...Sorry but just fascinating to me
Hi PEARLJAM NJ. I am QuestionAuthority and I LOVE my posters. So you can now say you have met one person who has 1 poster. I proudly have several. They are pieces of art and I cherish them. I get comments all the time from people who see them displayed in my home and although they are not Pearl Jam fans they appreciate the art that it is.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hahaha, yeah OP, what you saying is generally accurate. It is indeed a comical and crazy forum. But there is tons of interesting stuff going on and there is good level of knowledge about PJ music. Soon, it grows on you.
That said, I vote yes for a Strangest tribe at wrigley or any other show. Or any other weird PJ song will do. :geek:What's your part, who you are?

2) If you disagree with ticket policy your an a-hole and not a "true fan"
3) If you like the ticket policy, you won lottery and tell everyone else the lottery is fair and anyone complaining is an old entitled a-hole
5) Please play xxx at xxx show because I love this horrible D side song that the band doesn't even remember but I need to show how obscure I am and request it..Anyone who requests BUGS or SWEET LEW should be automatically pushed to the top of the I AM THE BIGGEST PJ FAN IN THE WORLD LIST and we should all line up at the show and greet them and tell them how awesome they are. PLEASE PLAY STRANGEST TRIBE!!!
6) The endless posts about: How much I should / can drink pre and during show, when I should / can go to bathroom, when I can sing along to songs (you better know every word pal, otherwise your not a true fan), how to act during show, what shirt you can / cant wear to show, etc...Can anyone imagine these are actual topics?!?!?!?
Hahahahahahhaha! bullseye!
i collect posters though, got several dating back to 96 so i guess i can say i am a collector. they are piece of art to me since i love graphic design and posters in particular.. however, i would not be standing 6 hours in the scorching heat to get one of four prepared for the show, esp. two day prior to the show. this is too much even for me. though my fiancee says i would
i would not. i'd rather go drink beer

A good rant nonetheless...
I confess I was guilty of number 3 during f5. I was successful under that system and besides maybe a server upgrade or whatever to handle the traffic, it wad fine.
also guilty of number 6. I like posters. I frame and hang the. The wife thinks they look really good and they go in featured wall space. People make positive comments on them all the time and they have prompted others to obtain and frame a poster(s) of their own bands/shows.
I collect for each show I have been to. Like a complete set. The problem is paying like $50 for one I dont find attractive and ends up at the unattainable bottom of the hanging priority. Shows I didnt attend but like are an impulse buy waste of money
It is also a stressful grind buying at the show and protecting it. Part of me definitely wishes I never got into posters0 -

first of all, this message board works in a voluntary participation manner, certainly nothing is forced on you
sort of completely invalidates all of your complaints. sounds like the problem is yours, stay away, dont participate in things that upset you
think of it like this, if you really hate sand, dont go to the beach, problem solved
and post 5 and 7 just come off really negative
and fuck me if I say somethin you dont wanna hear, fuck me!
and fuck me if you only hear what you wanna hear

The guy has 23 posts. He has stayed away. He is probably stating why he has stayed away for reasons he listed. His post is actually completely logical and congruent with his beliefs.0 -
