**Atlantic Canada 2008-Come Back!**

Why not flog a dead horse in a new thread!

This is a plea from those of us who saw Pearl Jam in September 2005 and for those who did not make it.

Please bless us with another phenomenal series of shows. Fredericton, Moncton, Saint John, Halifax, Charlottetown, St. John's...any or all of the above.

You are loved. There will be Keiths.

    another jam here in the east coast of canada would be sweet!
    hopefully another gig will happen here. dreams do come true. mine did lately.

    I just heard, 3rd hand from someone talking to the daughter of a promoter or something (yeah, great legit source so far lol) that there could be a Pearl Jam/The Who headliner concert on the Halifax Commons (for those not from here, Celine Dion was to play there but cancelled due to the uproar of disappointment in the city lol, and Paul McCartney's people checked out the site recently but decided not to... his political agenda against Seal Hunting on the East Coast is rumoured to be the big reason why, but they say its scheduling issues).

    I will try not to get excited... but just to HEAR this rumour from a random source is something small to believe in ;)

    I have seen bits and pieces of the Halifax show - you guys ROCKED!!!! Eddie was very funny that night.....someone get me a Keith's for Gods sake!!!!!

    Just realized too that PJ end their east coast tour in Mass. on June 30... setting up a pretty convenient trip over to Halifax after that... ah dam, Im letting myself get excited lol

    Well after June 30th concert shooting up to NB, NS or PEI to play for Canada Day would be incredible....there usually is big shows that time of year in those provinces, screw the fact that they are not Canadian.

    No date as of yet... but this city is really itching for a big name concert for this site sometime this summer... the Stones played a couple years ago, and they tried for the Eagles this year. Typically there is a big Canada Day concert somewhere (July 1... probably too quick) but I'm sure they'd let PJ/The Who pick a weekend in the summer to do this... close to Canada Day makes sense though.

    Pearl Jam was awesome the night we saw them in Hali ,they would have a huge crowd at the commons too! ...... if only......

    We are so concert deprived in Atlantic Canada........

    I wouldn't bet anything on seeing shows in Atlantic Canada. Sorry to say it, but these are kinda obscure locations even when planning a full North American tour. Here we have a band playing a few dates on a small leg. They also just did a tour focused on seeing our entire country in 2005. Let's get real here. For the record, Kitchener and London, don't expect shows either (that goes for you too Richmond Hill) :)

    The most sensible lineup would include Wintersleep opening for PJ and the Who.. local band making it big, their older stuff is very PJ-esque and the new stuff is more radio-friendly and upbeat.

    So there you have it, I did the city's job for them...

    I think if the guys ever made a trek to Fredericton, they'd keep coming back. Some of the best crowds I've ever been a part of.

    Not likely given Moncton, Charlottetown (concert field) and Halifax would probably be the only Maritime cities they'd go to.

    I picture finishing up with rockin in the free world on the Halifax Commons, and how amazing that would be... there would be thousands of "rock" fans, and Who fans, that would finally see how great PJ is... so many people still think of them as the "Alive/Jeremy" grunge band from the early 90's... I think they would kill at a concert like that.

    Fredericton is so far out of PJs league, although we did have Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube here last year. (I still haven't recovered from that one!) And Blue Man Group's coming in September...

    i don't care where they play as long as they play within driving distance.

    i have to say the 05 Canada boots are pretty kick ass... but you gotta remember one thing.... SEE THEM WHEN THEY COME AROUND!!... you dont know when they will be back... lol...

    they will come back. never in a million year's thought they would come to halifax, ns. a redream appearance .. happens sometimes ..

    ah, your in nyc. sweet! i'll be there for 3 nights this june! staying just across the msg. it's been a dream for me to come to nyc. can't wait! :)

    I'm driving my wife crazy because when I first saw them, she thought that was enough. Then the second time, she thought, ok..well..he must really enjoy them, but I don't get travelling to see a concert.

    Then when they said they were playing Halifax and NFLD, I told her that this was the ultimate..PJ in my backyard and PJ in little ol St.John's..so I'm good now...then I met them! Well...then I was definitely good. Told her it was complete. I've satisfied all my Pearl Jam dreams. Except I didn't tell her about my 2nd ultimate dream (other than meeting them)...PJ at MSG. Well..the look on her face when I told her - FINALLY!...this will complete my Pearl Jam dreams! Just need to travel to NYC to see them. hahah

    Her eyes did a complete roll. But that's why I love her..cause I'm off to NYC! But seriously, now I'm good.. :-)

    This is the best idea ever!... well, since the Canadian Tour idea in 2005 anyway. Please, Please come back to Atlantic Canada and if you do, come back to Newfoundland. PJ got enough support here to sell out a week!

    Plus, they loved it here... and who wouldn't.

    nice man! nyc is a dream. i have never been, and growing up, i've alway's wanted to go there. i'm not married :( .. but on the hunt for the right person to share my love of pearl jam .. and anything else.

    I'm so happy you get to go to MSG Sward!!! I know you'll be a great Maritime Ambassador.
