i'm guessing the answer is no. but i have an old show, but the bass is pretty loud and distorts the sound a bit. is there any program someone can suggest that i can use to lower it and somehow even the sound out?

any help would be much appreciated.
thanks in advance.

Honestly, I'd try something easy to use like Cool Edit Pro and mess around a bit with their built in graphic EQ, there's a lot of options, one being a "bass roll-off"

It may help out a bit.

Syntrillium is the name of the company that makes it, but your name could be Peter Quistgard if you choose to download a torrent of it :)

you can do also some equilazer adjustments in itunes or winamp, just put on rock and play with the settings.
i've done it since 1998? or something ...
