Unsolved guitar pick mystery from London

I got lucky and got row Q seats in floor 1 through the venue (after not winning 10c lotto) and went in right at 6:30 when the doors opened. We were literally one of the first people in our seats. Well like 10 mins goes by and I reach down to set my beer down and there is an evil knievel Ed pick just laying on the floor!?! Obviously I scooped it up and was pumped but I have no clue where it came from. This was an hour before the show started and no one was around to have dropped it. Only thing I can think of was from them practicing for a few days he flung one out into the empty seats at some point?! Who knows, I'm happy to have it and I'm sure it will remain an unsolved mystery...just curious if its the same style pick he was using during the show, I thought that style pick he used during his solo shows. I got one directly from him in MT last fall and it was the EdVed batman pick.

    I had a similar situation happen to me when I saw Ed in Detroit. I was waiting in line for beer looked down and saw a Mike McCready pick. I asked everyone around if they had dropped it and no one did. So I still have it!! Just weird I found a Mike pick at an Eddie show?? lol!

    Don't know anything about the pick but there was definitely warm up/music/singing between 3-4 pm coming from the venue on the Jack Astors side - could have been from then.

    i found an Alice in Chains pick that says will on it ,on the floor by my seat in Fort wayne IN @ the Embassy theater which was just an incredible show but it too must have been flung out there during sound check cool little find its new home is going to be in a picture frame with my AIC Tickets

    I had the same thing happen in Santa Barbara in 2008 on EV's April Fool's tour. Thanks to the Ten Club, I randomly ended up in the second row, dead center, at the Arlington. Went down to my seats pretty early and as I was sitting there, happened to notice something at my feet. Picked up an EV Evil Knievel pick and it remains one of my favorite concert memorabilia stories. He must have tossed it after soundcheck. People that I had met in line saw that and started searching under all the seats nearby. :D

    The pick was most likely left by Mr. Vedder himself. Can't remember where, but I once read where Ed likes an occasional walk around a venue before a show to check the place out, and while doing so leaves randomly leave picks for fans 8-) .

    If that's true, that's pretty cool of him. It was just odd, I was sitting there with my girlfriend (her first show, so she was already thinking I was crazy the way I get before a show) but I set my beer down, and then she actually spotted it and is like "is that a guitar pick, you want that for any reason?" "wait…what…GIVE ME THAT!" haha, cool either way! I figured it was from a practice season, but I was row Q…and 17 rows deep at that place would be quite the flick of a pick, so you are probably right..

    "Like" haha. I was actually going to post your story and then read your post, haha. Sharing that show with you was still one of the best times ever. Getting the Ben Harper appearance was awesome.
