What hotel is everyone staying at?

I know that several people (myself included) are staying at the Doubletree-City Center.
Our touring group is booked at the Red Lion.

Also at the Red Lion. A close winter walk to the venue won out over the really cool looking Davenport and Hotel Lusso.

didnt want to risk any sketchy weather so I'm flying from portland to spokane.

It was $20 cheaper to fly from NYC to Portland. :o

Phuck it YO! u only go round once. ;)
  • Any thoughts on GA forming out there? Email yesterday said Ga can enter through ANY entrance. Does going early and getting in line have any benefit if this is the case?

What's the weather like on I-90 b/w Seattle and Spokane and north of Seattle on I-5 during this time? After the Spokane show I have a ferry to catch, which is about a 5.5 drive from Spokane and I'm just planning what to expect in terms of weather and likelihood of getting stranded or slowed down.

weather can very greatly. Some people say "the passes are always clear", but from personal experience: I highly doubt they drove I-90 during Thanksgiving holiday every year for multiple years in a row.

The first 4-5 years I drove across the pass would get a bit hairy. One year it was heavy wet slushy snow, another year it was powder, another year, it was light and fluffy.

One year, it was big fluffy flakes...flakes the size of silver dollars. We stopped in Roslyn for gas and they mentioned that the passes might close, but all the hotels were full. We pressed on, and at the summit, they closed the pass, traffic just stopped. One hour from our destination, and we got to spend the night on I-90...7 hours just sitting on I-90 trying to stay warm.

At the very least, carry chains, warm clothes, a blanket, and some food/water in your vehicle with you.
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

Just booked a room at the Montvale hotel for the show night. Pricelined it for $75. Seems pretty decent.

Are you coming from Hong Kong? If so I doubt you will want to drive from Wisconsin. Plus I doubt anyone will be driving. It's FAR!!

Where will you be coming from before you arrive in Spokane?

im not from Hong Kong, just lived there a little while. i live in wisconsin, and i didnt relize that the spokane show was thanksgiving weekend, and flights are pricey, so i might drive possibly, or hitch a ride if anyone is driving. i have my college roomate that lives in spokane so i have a place to stay. i know its a long drive, he used to drive it to come to college like twice a year.
