The notoriously brutal leader of Mexico's feared Zetas drug cartel was captured in a pickup truck near the border city of Nuevo Laredo Monday, officials said, in what is the first major blow against an organized crime leader by a Mexican administration struggling to drive down persistently high levels of violence.

Miguel Angel Trevino Morales, 40, was also found with $2 million in cash as he was captured by Mexican Marines on a dirt road in the countryside outside of Nuevo Laredo, a city opposite the Texas border which has long served as the Zetas' base of operations. The truck was halted by a Marine helicopter and Trevino Morales was taken into custody along with a bodyguard and an accountant and eight guns, government spokesman Eduardo Sanchez told reporters

    i don't know about that.

the movie deal was a joke but I have no doubt that someone will take over his action, the money is huge and worth the risk to many who live in poverty

  • it will be interesting to see how this unfolds. if there is one person that is mutually respected (and feared) by the rest of the gang, then it should be a pretty smooth transition. but if there's a few guys all with there own little gangs wanting to be the main boss, then we will see mucho violence with each guy trying to outdo the other with even more horrendous acts of violence. even worse if that happens, the Sinaloa and gulf cartels would come to take their piece of the pie resulting in even more violence. it's crazy this is all happening a couple hundred miles from here, yet it seems like a world away.

if you think what I believe is stupid, bizarre, ridiculous or outrageous.....it's ok, I think I had a brain tumor when I wrote that.

Rumor is his brother will take his place. He comes from a family or like 15 or 16 siblings and most if not all involved in cartel.

the government in mexico don't seem to promote middle class citizenship so the lure of easy mony is too much to turn away from and another thing is prison in mexico aint no joke ,A friend of mine had a brother in mesa prison for XXXXXXXX and he died of medical problems caused from sersoses of the liver, they don't offer medical unless you have friend or family with money to pay for it.
