All around the venue, the following sign was posted:

"We are filming a motion picture currently entitled "Iconoclasts". Your presence here shall be deemed your irrevocable consent to the unconditional use of your likeness in such motion picture in all media forever and throughout the universe and all ancillary uses and related advertising, promotion, publicity and marketing."

I don't know what that all means....but it's definitely interesting. Thought I'd share.

Now that you mention it....I really didn't notice them filming the band....just the crowd. Weird.

I don't know what this show is at all, but i just saw, that they are doing a second season of it and where filming at a Fiona Apple concert
    So this could be possible.

We were there and saw the signs too, as well as cameras. Don't really know what it is all about though. PJ also films, so who knows? :)

Edit: I forgot to add that someone we talked to said that the same signs were at other concerts.
"I'd rather be with an animal." "Those that can be trusted can change their mind." "The in between is mine." "If I don't lose control, explore and not explode, a preternatural other plane with the power to maintain." "Yeh this is living." "Life is what you make it."

The show "Iconoclasts" has a celebrity interviewing another celebrity that they admire. I don't know if that is why they were filming at Santa Barbara or not, but it could be. The episode I saw had chef Mario Batali interviewing Michael Stipe and it showed them going to Toronto to see U2 in concert.
  • The only episode I saw of that show was Robert Redford interviewing Paul Newman. It was very cool. I could see PJ doing this show, as it's on Redford's Sundance channel, which also airs Al Franken's show, and aired the VFC Finale

but a TV show isn't a motion picture, as mentioned in the sign. Given the format of the TV show, I don't think its the same thing.

What kind of cameras were there?

I'm not an attorney :) , but, I think the term motion picture is used as an all-emcompassing term when advising the attendees that there will be filming.

We talked to one of the guys filming before the show, and he told us it was like a show about 2 different celebs. knowing each other through some connection other than their proffesion kinda. The one last night was about Eddie Vedder and Laird something....can't remember his name for some reason.....the surfer LOL. How they admire each other, and came to know each other etc. And from what I saw (which I didn't pay a lot of attention) they filmed the crowd a lot :) I did see them interviewing the surfer guy too. Jack Irons was there as well, but didn't appear to be part of the whole thing.
