Would anyone like to join me for a discussion about the politics of mental health in Britain and America?

Do you mean politics related to funding?
  • tremorstremors Posts: 8,051
Both funding and the treatment of individuals (by both family and state)

I was taken to the doctors again today for laughing too much at my own private jokes. They increased my medication and I was returned home. I am lucky to have a loving family, a good set of doctors, an education, and also to have learned through hard experience about how to cope and adjust to different types of medication. Contact with Mental Health Services is extremely hard work though, for everyone involved.

I'm sitting outside a local cafe again. A free man (for the moment). The immediate drama has passed but I might be forced to take a medication which is contrary to my principles, and get involved with a process which would tie me to the state yet further.

The best thing to do in such circumstances is to chill out and finish my coffee methinks! ;)

    Forced? By whom?

Here's to your continued chillin' out and freedom.

    Thank you.

It's rather complicated, but it concerns governmental legislation, from which I am currently divorced
