Baltimore, Md........it's been a long time coming

This will be the first time that this band has ever played the city of Baltimore...my hometown. I can't tell you how long I've waited for this and how excited I am. Anyone else looking to go to that show? Maybe we could get a little "Oceans" to open the show.....it's one of the few songs I haven't heard live!

    Stayed at the Days Inn on Lombard when I saw Social D at Rams Head back in '10. From the garage I see the arena and said, no reason why Pearl Jam can't play there.

    Yeah. The Arena is pretty old, but I've seen a lot of bands there and it has decent acoustics. I'm just happy I don't have to drive to D.C. this time. Jiffy Lube Live, or whatever it's called these days, is a nightmare with traffic and parking. Merriweather is a great venue though.

    What's a decent hotel, not too expensive that is a cab ride or walk to the arena? I saw U2 here back in 01 when i lived about 30 minutes away. Now I'm 1.5 hours away.

    Pretty sure that there is a Holiday Inn right around the corner, near Camden Yards.

    Yeah, I looked on google maps too and only saw that little garage so I wanted to ask if there are any more lots. Are the Ravens playing home that day? It might get crazy! I definitely want my car to be safe in a grage but getting out of the garage post show sucks.. Maybe I will go down early Sunday and park a reasonable distance away from the arena in another garage and hangout all day before the show. ;)

    Hmm still considering this show. If it was Saturday instead of Sunday I would definitely be in, but starting off the work week on little sleep may not be the best idea. :?

    Got GA for this show. Had to choose between this and Charlottesville, since no DC show this tour. Saw Ed in Baltimore a few years back and had a great time. The Inner Harbor area is a lot of fun, should be a good day, plan on getting in early to watch some football, plenty of bars around to choose from.

    So pumped, got Reserved Seating. :D

    The light rail will quit running before the end of the show but there is a Metro that runs East and West that the last train is at 12:06AM. There is also plenty of garages that usually stay open until the end of an event. At least that is how the it is for Orioles and Ravens games.

    I am probably going to make a day of the show by going down to Pratt St Alehouse or Max's Taphouse to watch my Redskins play the Broncos.

    Hometown show for me so I'm pumped.

    Harbor East is on the other side of the Harbor down Pratt Street if anyone's looking for a little bit of an upscale stay. That's walking distance to the bars in Fells Point (and the Soundgarden for vinyl lovers, a must visit) and to the arena. You'll stay along the harbor the whole walk so not much worry of crime.

    People coming in and out, there are lots of garages. On Pratt Street west of the arena there are meter spots that are free on Sundays. Don't go west of MLK Blvd though. For a pre-show bar I'd recommend Frank and Nic's, between the arena and Camden Yards. Great food. Ravens bye week but I imagine still some good football specials at that cluster of bars.

    I still have to drive 2 hours to get to Balto, but at least it's in my state! I saw Eddie there a few years ago. I think he enjoyed paddle boarding in the harbor before that show, so maybe the weather will be warm enough for him to do it again.

    Baltimore is a fun place for those of you traveling from other places. The areas you'll be hanging out are not like The Wire!

    Damn...grew up in Baltimore and always wanted to see them play here (especially at Merriweather).
    Someone eat a crabcake or drink at Natty Bo (well ok I'm sure there's better options than that!) as I can't make it!
