Wondering if there are any locals who live close to the Hyatt Regency Chicago on E Wicker Dr OR anyone who I could share the cost of your hotel close to there on the 18th??? I have a friend who might have an extra Wrigley ticket that I am going to get to use but trying to figure out last minute travel. I can't get there on the 19th in time so would have to go out a day before him. He is staying at the hyatt Regency on the 19th. But I am kind of without a place on the 18th. Hoping to keep everything close by to avoid renting a car etc.

I'm allergic to cats and it'd have to be non smoking please.

This is all up in the air, I'm not sure if I can even get the plane ticket still... but, Please send me a PM if you might be able to help me get to the show!

Ok it's official I'm going! Very last minute.
Still need a place to stay on Thursday night. Probably will end up doing airbnb thanks to a very helpful member here for telling me about it. But just in case anyone wants another person to split their hotel room coat let me know. Looking to stay somewhere between downtown and wrigley or actual downtown is fine by the hyatt regency which is where I'll be on friday night.

I was looking the other say, now that the wife wants to stay another day, at hotels out by O'Hare

Some are cheaper than half of the cost of a downtown hotel

And you still don't have to rent a car, just jump on the blue line

My girlfriend and I are staying about one hour outside of Chicago at a campground in a tent... That probably doesn't work for you but if your absolutely desperate it's available

Thanks everyone for all the responses and messages! Everyone has been very helpful just as I knew they would be. I have a few options so going to look at prices and locations and figure it out this weekend. Might end up doing a room rental on airbnb, thanks to someone who recommended it and did a good distance search for me! It might be the most economical, I'm a little worried about getting around Chicago after arriving at 9 pm on Thursday, on the trains and bus, but it will be an adventure! Thanks again.

I used Priceline and got a room at The Hyatt McCormick Place for $75 a night. Booked this deal last week.

Thanks, tonight based on your post, I tried a few areas and a few prices and ended up getting this one as well, for $59 + tax (so almost $75). Really appreciate all the info from everyone, now I just need to not get lost once I leave Midway... Same price as a lot of the airbnb.com places and a private hotel room instead of an air mattress or bedroom in someone's apartment (though that would have done ok too!).

Thanks to everyone for the offers and helpful info for this out of towner.

This place was ten times better than the hyatt downtown where I stayed the next night... free bottle water, free Internet, fancy room and bathroom... Thanks again for the recommendation!!
