For nights on fire we walk the edge
To the surface of a dream
In a land that looks so bright we fight to feel the burden
Of the things we wish were real.

Hazards of a journey that bring us to a place
We pray for its final end
And through the eyes of desire I see
The Eagles circle above me.

With wings of fire the spirit of freedom flies
Across this my anxious mind
Through a forest of trees
That covers the colors of the sun
Where light and life find a way.

And I think about you every day.

The moon stands still and shines through the clouds
To light the forest floor
Through the leaves and trees and into my heart
It’s a light to show us the way.

Angels in the forest ride bare back on winged horses
Through the leaves and the trees
And for the life of me I can’t help but wonder.

Do you remember me.

    When you write poems in this dream-scene style, they are easy to visualize. I love the moon-lit forest. :)
