I don't care about rain, hail or wind, but lightning scares the crap out of me.

Lightning storms blow thru quick. Two hours tops.

Weather will be fine come showtime.

If you look at the details they no longer have storms at night. Only during the day. I know it's still a couple days away but this is a good sign

Here are a couple of links to refresh periodically:

    National Weather Service, Chicago: http://www.crh.noaa.gov/lot/
Specifically within the above website, this is the forecast: http://www.crh.noaa.gov/lot/lfp.php
A little technical but this documents the science/computer models and the forecaster's reasoning behind the forecast: http://forecast.weather.gov/product.php ... glossary=1

Keep refreshing the above, 1st two links. One the main page, keep abreast of watches and warnings the day of the concert.

Tom Skilling at WGN is, for the most part, a weather reporting god for this area. He's been nearly perfect the last couple of years with predicting the most severe weather within 48 hours. This is what he posted today:
A severe thunderstorm threat by late in the day into Friday night. Windy, quite hot and humid with a sun/cloud mix.

Southwest winds 16 to 32 mph and gusty above 35 mph at times in the afternoon. Clouds build with active thunderstorms a threat in the afternoon and evening. Clusters of thunderstorms likely a portion of Friday night, some capable of downpours, powerful wind gusts and hail. Storm may impact up to 60% of the area. Afternoon highs return to the mid 90s with NO lake cooling and heat indices may approach 106-degrees again if thunderstorms, as expected, hold off until later in the day
While other good links have been posted, I would suggest using this one: http://www.chicagoweathercenter.com/

This should tide F5 fans over for a few days. ;)

Seriously, though, thanks for the links. Everyone attending the show should keep an eye on the weather and exercise caution.

what happens if the concerts gets canceled?..Because, if there is lighthing?...It is going to be a safety issue..Plus, from I have read...There is a 11pm curfew...So, if the concert is delayed at it...It is going to cut into the time the band can play...

Many many fans traveling from throught out the usa and other countries for this concert....Lets just hope they get it in...
