You should see the bastards we get in Australia! Found a red back (poisonous) in my pool table with an arse the size of a marble the other day. :?“ "Thank you Palestrina. A spider on the wall.. I would be super creeped out, but if it was too high up for me to reach, I would let it be.. Although I would keep a close eye on it. :P
If I can, I always catch spiders and release them into the wild ( = throw them out the window/balcony). Because they're so fast and creepy though, I'm always afraid they'll jump or scurry onto my hand when I'm catching them. :lolno:"Don't be faint-hearted, I have a solution! We shall go and commandeer some small craft, then drift at leisure until we happen upon another ideal place for our waterside supper with riparian entertainments."0 -
Yes! I'm always terrified that if I don't get rid of them they'll crawl into my mouth or something while I sleep. :?eMMI wrote:A spider on the wall.. I would be super creeped out, but if it was too high up for me to reach, I would let it be.. Although I would keep a close eye on it. :P

Exactly! I'm also afraid they'll somehow get tangled in my hair (though that's my fear with all bugs :P ) or that I'll step on them. Don't think I've ever actually stepped on a spider, so don't know where that one comes from really.
One time in work I was looking something up on the computer when I saw a spider walking around the desk I was at.. And I couldn't do anything! I was sitting at the front of the class and if I'd jumped up and freaked out (like I wanted), the kids would have done the same. So I had to just sit there and look normal until the spider went away. Horrible!
(Luckily it was a pretty small one.) "Don't be faint-hearted, I have a solution! We shall go and commandeer some small craft, then drift at leisure until we happen upon another ideal place for our waterside supper with riparian entertainments."0 -
My wife says killing a spider at home is bad luck. You have to kindly show them the front door. What's your part, who you are?

spider moving up your wall
to the ceiling he slowly crawls
weaves a web above your bed
egg that cracks falls on your head
and it's all the same
it's all the same
no hesitation, victim dead
just from the start it's the end ......
normally i wouldn't hurt a fly but big massive bastards would creep me out. i'd shit them and assault it with my shoe or closest object  . small spiders/insects don't bother me at all except wasps and bees -- mofos be heart-attack inducing...Pearl Jam, a group filled with pride, passion, and intricate musicianship. you just reminded me of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRV4d9LCawU
I still scream when I watch it...f'in spiders! *shudder*The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

I moved into a new apartment about 6 months ago. We have this one light fixture that somehow gets a spider in it about once a week. Each time, I carefully take it outside and spare its life. Now I'm starting to wonder if its the same one coming back over and over again
