What's the origin of the lab coats at Ed solo shows?

    Eddie was no longer wearing the lab coat at the recent Australian solo shows but the road crew wore them.

    Yeah... I saw Neil Young in the early 80s do that. That was when the shows used giant props on stage, like in 'Rust Never Sleeps'.. The crew was out there in lab coats. tuning guitars and doing mic checks then threw off the lab coats, revealing they were actually 'Crazy Horse' and started playing 'Cinnimon Girl'. It was pretty cool.

    Saw Neil in 2012 and he still had the crew in lab coats.
