It's a bummer Kim isn't with them, but i've always wanted to see them live. If they come near Boston, I'll be at the show regardless. I wonder if something happened between her and the band during the making of the new album?

"Along with everyone's favorites, we'll be playing songs that we haven't played in ages or never played live before," said Black Francis. "Songs like 'Brick is Red,' 'Havalina,' 'Tony's Theme.' and 'Sad Punk.' We've probably rehearsed some 80 songs, so we'll be able to change up the set at the last minute if we feel like it. We're all really looking forward to this tour."

sweeeet! So far only European dates.....

This. Plus I've seen them with her and it was brilliant, don't think I need to see them again.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I'd probably give them a shot live, but without Kim it just won't be the same.

I don't think I could watch The Pixies without Kim or any other members missing .They may have had quite a turbulent history together but they have a joyful chemistry that makes them what they are as a live act and it takes all of them to make that work. Even Frank Black solo doesn't do much justice to their songs when he does them live.
