I have some Bob Marley headphones, they sound good right now playing South America, but I just saw a young woman wearing Beats by Dr Dre, which do people think are better? Does anyone know about the ethics and street symbolism of these things?

Holy hell - ethics are now involved with which earphones one chooses to wear? Actually, I'm curious now - what is the moral code when it comes to them? IS there a moral code to them?

I'm thankful I don't have to deal with that nonsense (they make me aurally-claustrophobic).

    (but...for what it's worth, I'll always choose Marley over Dre :P )

    "Ethical earphones"?

    "...street symbolism of these things?"

    ???

What really makes this all so strange and trippy is that this is what I'm listening to as I read this thread- a heavily psychedelia-tinged record for children from 1968:

Here's a sample from the record posted above. Put this on some ethical earphones and blow your mind!
