as a buckeye, i disagree with ohio. never had that..or really heard of it. i would have voted great lakes...but then it is a top 3 brewer for me.

i think goose island is right. it's not the best.(don't get me started on chicago beer)...but i would guess it's the most well known.

I can't argue with Shiner and Texas...

however I get the feeling their might be some backlash over Coors and Colorado....
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

Surprised that Abita has no representation in LA. Man, our FL breweries need to start broadening their distribution channels!(although I do love Cigar City)

I guess Grain Belt wins MN as iconic, but Summit Extra Pale Ale is my most favorite brew.

I would have figured New Belgium (Fat Tire) would have been Colorado's.
    Also surprised Abita isn't LA's.

No surprise Four Peaks is AZ's. While their more "common" beers aren't that great, they do have a couple that are very, very good (HopKnot....mmmmmm!).

Good call on the Abita from Louisiana. That would be my pick.

Yeah, I guess if they're going by most well known, goose island makes sense. But absolutely not the best. You don't like any Chicago beers?

Coors I would call the most iconic, yes.

But with the massive surge of small craft breweries and the emergence of a craft brewing powerhouse (i.e. New Belgium) I would be willing to bet that a lot of people from the state would not want the image of Coors to represent them on this map...

that's all I was trying to say.

To each their own. Have you checked out Half Acre at all? Besides the usual 3 brews that they have in bars and liquor stores around Chicago, they have a ton of different beers at the brewery. It's about a mile away from me so I'm over there pretty frequently. Revolution has a few good ones. I'm really looking forward to the Lagunitas brewery and brewpub opening up in the fall I think it is.

Kansas should be Free State Brewing Co.

Texas should be Shiner & Lone Star split right down the middle.

I haven't been in Oregon long enough to vote, but Widmer is a good choice.

Rolling Rock was brewed in Latrobe before InBev bought them. Now it's made in St. Louis. Sam Adams was using the Latrobe plant for a little bit. Not sure anything is brewed there now.

Troegs will be topping the PA list soon

looked at this stuff today in the booze section of the grocery store. i wanted to buy a bottle just to have a bottle of this stuff. i also thought of reselling it as this stuff is not readily avalible. however, many have been reselling this, "templeton rye" stuff & the law is cracking down as it is illegal to resell which seems odd to me.
