why can't they just let me odbc into the database and do my magic directly with access.....nope....gotta run some stupid report, that i still haven't figured out...dump it into excel....and then pull that into access. :fp: :fp: :fp: :fp:

well, that is kind of what I do already. we backdoored a method of having the tables out in oracle, that we can odbc into access. always the goal is to get it into excel so I can spin it the way I need it.
oh, and we are also changing over to office 2010. I am screwed.

evertime we get a new system, they promise "over 2,000 canned reports that should be more than sufficient" that turn out to be useless and I have to build some back-door reporting that's not supported by IT
