    Where are you staying?

It is cliche, but definitely check out some deep dish pizza if you have never had it. Lou Malnati's is the best.

Kumas Corner. A metal bar with the best burgers in the city. Get there, you'll be happy you did.

This is pizza but a bit different spin. There's a place called the Chicago Pizza and Over Grinder Company on Clark Street between downtown and Wrigley. It's fantastic. They serve pizza pot pies. Basically the cheese is laid down in the pot, then the fillings, then the dough paid over the top and baked. The whole thing is turned over at the table. If you go, though, know that they only accept cash

What's your part, who you are?

    2012: Arras, Berlin 1-2
    2013: Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires
    2014: Milano, Trieste, Vienna, Berlin

  • All good mentions so far.

I would add the Goose Island brew pub which is steps from Wrigley and Gibson's on Rush.

If you decide you are around for breakfast stop by Clarkes its was awesome, and the neighborhood one of them is in is close to Reckless Records which is a great record shop.

Does anyone recommend Vito & Nicks Pizza on the south side? Is it worth the long journey from downtown?

While there's nothing wrong with Lou Malnati's or any of the other touristy places mentioned, this is by far the best list mentioned, though I would remove Everest and add Elizabeth. Chicago has so much more to offer than deep dish and Italian beef. If you won't leave Chicago happy without pizza, I'd suggest Burt's Place or Pequod's.

Alinea, Next, Moto and Grace will be difficult to get reservations three weeks out (the first two only do tickets, which are likely gone over a weekend). There is also a substantial underground restaurant movement (professional chefs cooking out of a private home) that's been brewing for a few years, which would be a very unique experience.

You are all welcome in advance:

Twin Anchors. Best ribs in Chicago. Its also near Second City if you wanted to watch a show there. Be warned though, no reservations. First come, first served. Sometimes waits can be a couple hours on weekends.

I enjoy going to the Weber Grill when I'm in town.

"Oh yeah? Which president's on it?"
