    why would a government that many conservatives call super liberal, kill a journalist, who is a member of the liberal media?? i can see the government, given it's track record of targeting tea party groups, maybe possibly doing something to silence breitbart, but not hastings. liberals tend to not eat their own, like the republicans tend to do.

    Just read that Hastings was cremated instantly.

    A few serious questions to ponder:
    Why was his body cremated against the wishes of his family?
    Why have LA firefighters and police been put on strict gag orders regarding the crash scene and Hastings death?
    Why have auto experts questioned why Hastings’ brand new Mercedes exploded into flames with such ferocity and why the engine was found 150 feet behind the vehicle?
    Why have have ALL FOIA requests made by San Diego 6 News for the police report, 9/11 call, autopsy, bomb squad and toxicology reports been ignored?
    Why has Kimberly Dvorak been threatened? A SD news reporter being threatened multiple times over the course of a month?
    Why 16 hrs before his death, did Hastings fire off an email warning of something weird upcoming and a pending questioning/investigation?

    Surely something is a tad amiss, no? Btw, Hastings was sober for over 5 years and everyone who knew him claimed he drove like "someones grandma".

    Makes one reasonably wonder that there is just a little more to the story then whats being shared, no?

    The story, from what I've read, just doesn't pass the smell test.

    Plus, the street on which he crashed isn't one where a car can typically get to the kind of speed that would result in such destruction...residential area, two lanes, fairly heavily-traveled.

    The cremation thing is just fucked up too.
