Jane's Addiction: Live In NYC

Anyone pick this up today. I just got the CD, it was a pretty short setlist that night. I think it was like 12 songs and only 70 something minutes (and I believe this was a free show to promote their upcoming album). But it was decent; not great but not terrible. Three Days always stands out to me. I just wish they did Then She Did.. and Summertime Rolls. But anyways, why would JA release a show from 2011? Like those shows from the late 80s in clubs were so energetic. There has to be recordings of some of those shows. Or even some shows from '91 would be better. The classic lineup needs to have a live release. For a band that is always renowned for their live performances, you'd think they'd have more live shit available. But hey, they're not PJ or anything....

This was on Palladium for a while now. I believe this was a promo with some phone company that could shoot in 3-D. I could be wrong.

But it was already edited so it didn't cost the band that much to release it. It's a money grab.

Also, they came out with a DVD/Blu-ray about a year ago or so that had the classic line-up during the reunion tour.

They used to be my favorite group back in the day, but they really don't come across that well on DVD (in my opinion).

Yeah its definitely a cash grab, I picked the CD up nevertheless. And yeah, the other DVD you're talking about was the Voodoo Festival in New Orleans from 2009. That DVD was alright. But you can just tell Eric Avery isn't really into it. I just want a classic lineup release from somewhere between 1988-1991, but that probably won't happen.

yeah this was for some new lg phone that was coming out that you could shoot 3d videos in. i had tickets for it but was under 21 and they wouldn't let me in whatsoever. apparently they were going to be shoving shot down your throat...that's what i was told by the bouncer. complete bullshit.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.
