"In Deep Owl" isn't bad. I think the vocals a little weak. Still, it's kind of a cool song, and I'm interested to hear what the rest of the album sounds like.

he always seemed majorly depressed during the 90's.

And, Im surprised the guy can still walk and isnt in a wheelchair. You ever seen how he used to play the bass?

    I love it.

Check out "Attrition" and "Non State Actors" on Soundgarden's new album...pretty similar sound as those were written by Ben as well.

    Can't wait for the album.

  • FINALLY received the vinyl in the mail that I pre-ordered... though I thought the Limited Edition (which is what I ordered) was supposed to be blue..??? (like shown on Shepherd's Fb page: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=565567543491478&set=a.162273840487519.29638.126141967434040&type=1&relevant_count=1 )
It looks like a nice 180g vinyl... but it's standard black... I had my hopes up for the colored vinyl that I assumed was the limited edition...

As for the album itself, I LOVE it. I've also been a big fan of Hater and Wellwater Conspiracy, so I had an idea of what kind of sound it would have, especially after hearing 2 songs Baron Robber and Collide... which are both excellent songs, but I REALLY dig Loose Ends, Veritas, The Blue Book, and The Great Syrup Incident. Those are awesome. If you liked Hater, you should like this a lot. It's different in that it's more acoustic and there's more ambience... like atmosphere to the songs. I freakin love it! Honestly, I wish PJ would do records with a more rough feel like this again.

I'm wondering if the blue is just the reflected light off the vinyl?
