Today I'd like to hear Crazy Mary.

In my opinion, any song that they extend into a long jam could be amazing!!! I hope we get a few of those, I'm sure we will though!

Would love to hear Just A Girl, Of The Earth, Brother.
Just A Girl has only been played twice according to this and not since Jan of 1991. How sick would it be if they broke this baby out for the first time in over 22 years?

Not just you! I totally agree. I can understand wanting to hear stuff you haven't heard a whole lot, but I'd never prefer to just check something off my "list" as opposed to hearing something I really love. There are a ton of songs I've only heard once or twice live that I'd much prefer to any of the songs I've never heard live.
I can't understand why someone would want to hear even flow for the 42nd time than hear something new. Different strokes I guess. You can only hear new Pearl Jam songs live so many times in your life, it's a beautiful thing. Plus it makes the concert and bootleg memorable because of that one song.
Also, how do you know a song sucks live before you've ever experienced it? Some of their songs are better live, and some are better studio.0 -
I haven't seen it live and in person, but I've seen them doing it live on video several times. It's awful. If I could go the rest of my life without hearing it again I'd be happy. Normally, I would definitely want to hear new or rare stuff - I'd like a whole show of that - and obviously don't want to hear a band play the same song 42 times either. But not when it comes to Ole. For me, it's not just bad for PJ. It's bad compared to most bad songs by anyone. I really really hate it.MG79478 wrote:ladydocNYC wrote:Sure.... I'd prefer if they played Even Flow twice in the same show than do Ole once.
And I definitely don't want that song on any boot that I buy! With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0 -

Love the version from 03/02/92 - Paard: Den Haag, Holland where Vedder says, "That's the first time me and my little brother ever played together" Just a sick jam. I was lucky enough to see I've Got A Feeling in Boston '04. Out Of My Mind
That's has to be one of PJ's best songs that they just forgot about. it may be cuz supposably they made it up on stage. Its only been played two or three times ever last time in Philadelphia 09.Some words when spoken...Can't be taken back...0 -
Yea, Atlanta 94, Springfield, MA 1994 and Philly 09. I went crazy when I realized they were actually playing it. I think i was the only one who knew what the hell it was. Everyone sitting around me thought I was the guy that put up the money to have it played because i was so excited and I knew what it was. They were like congratulations man. They did it for you.dwhite76 wrote:Out Of My Mind

I think that would be great as a second song, but that means we miss out on an traditional opening song. I'd much rather have the excitment build during Oceans/Release/Sometimes/Can't keep.
I wouldn't be surprised if they open with HTI, as it might be hard for edding to imagine playing Wrigley. My gut says it will be wash. Every "big" show gets wash, like they are doing a favor for the super fans who traveled from all over, even though everyone's heard it many times.0 -

That's awesome. Most "hard core" pj fans don't even know about this song. Its got a groove kinda like the songs Down and U.
