Jack Johnson just announced a bunch of dates for the fall. So many bands playing this year, I guess the Pearl Jam management team is confident to let others get an early jump on ticket sales. On a side note Jack Johnson is also doing the LIfe is Good Festival. For a small kids festival they have gotten many big name artists in the past four years. Dave Matthews, Ben Harper, Ray Lamontagne, The Avett Brothers to name a few.

  • very bizarre indeed. his website talks about the "smallest and most intimate venues" so that probably has something to do with it, but you could still do a public sale for that. i was going to put in for the lottery just to see what happened. Plus, i've never seen him before but the only date in Mass. is the Life Is Good festival . . . . all set.
it's a fragile thing, this life we lead.

  • I just saw Jack at LIG and he killed it. He basically played every song in his catalog along with a Led Zeppelin snippet, and a Jimi Hendrix cover. He also had Amos Lee come out and sing Flake and an Otis Redding cover. Plus Zac Gill sang Sweet Caroline for the Red Sox faithful along with providing other vocals throughout the show. The bass player (not sure of his name) also did a sweet rap during Staple it Together. People can say Jack is a bore in concert but I was very impressed plus he plays all of his hits because his songs are so short and simple. I loved it.
