Or at least that's what me and my friend told Mike and Jeff when we met them on O'Connell Street today!!!
Just walking along, suddenly I see a guy who looks like Jeff. Then I see a guy who looks like Mike. Then I realised - IT'S JEFF AND MIKE!!!
So, of all things to talk about, we ended up discussing our costumes for a masquerade ball with them, and how big a waste of money the Spire is...:D:D
Really cool guys, real down-to-earth. We shook their hands, didn't waste their time getting autographs or pics (as much as I regret that now...) And we never thought to ask who's opening...:(
I still haven't quite come down off the high it put me on...

Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.

i walked up to them just after jeff took a pic of mike at the spire, mike said to me it was pretty cool and i said to him that "most people think its a waste of money", then jeff asked me if there was a skate shop around and i walked with them up to the skate shop at trhe top o connell street (near the bridge)
i got their autograph though i luckily had the new cd in my bag!
Lucky man... Was it me, or is Jeff a lot bigger in person?:D:D
i've always laughed at that big spire
it looks like a giant needle for picking a giants arse
or something....
anyway congratulations...
definatley he's a lot taller and wider (but no in a fat way) than i expected him to be and mike quites small too, i really liked Mike's glasses and his hair!!!!
I just love the fact that they dress like they're still in sunny America when it's a pretty crappy Irish day:)
i can't even remember what they were wearing apart from they're faces, oh and jeff had a hmv bag in his hands.......i wanted to ask him what he bought but decided against it and jeff had like a toothpick in his mouth!!
That money [it also ran overbudget] could've been used on our terrible Health crisis or education or... well... something GOOD.
It's the most efficient way our government could find to waste our tax money...:D
NO!!!! if it wasn't for the spire i wouldn't have seen Mike and Jeff
Fair point.:D
And we told them it was a waste of money! What kind of fans are we?:D
and i started talking about how much i think matt's amazing and love his side project but not once mentioning i like mike's and jeff's side projects!!!! i'm a fucking idiot
To which Mike coolly replied "Neither did we."

It's a huge metal spire... like a big needle, in the middle of the main street (o'connell st.)... I always wanted to roll two huge balls up to it in the middle of the night!

its called the spire ... "The Spire of Dublin" http://www.spireofdublin.com/
and i like it ... dublin needs more landmarks and monuments/sculptures etc. it makes walking through the littered streets that bit more interesting
But I think it's pretty cool. And so is SpongeBob SquarePants in Gaelic.
