61 songs at the Gorge in 2006.

1 song from No Code (Hail Hail)

That means that only 1.6% of the Gorge shows contained No Code material.

By this fact alone......Neither Gorge show can be considered for the "Best PJ Show Ever" category.

  • the gorge shows from this year deffinantly aren't the best shows ever but they maybe the best shows this tour

gorge 2005 was better, but let me just say like i said in my other thread.....if gorge night 2 had an acoustic set to the beginning, it would have beaten gorge 2005

I am disappointed about the lack of No Code. I didn't like it at first, but after a couple more listens through, it has grown on me and may be my favorite studio album from them.

As someone who was there, the shows were great, but not enough of any of the no code, yield, riot act if you ask me. I love Ten, but Even flow and Alive both nights? Definately not the best ever or of the tour. Take away Dirty Frank, and they are pretty normal. My vote is for San Diego as the best this year.

why does every concert have to be considered for the greatest pj concert ever? just let the shows happen. too much scrutiny.

100% of the concerts rock with or without no code

The No Code stuff always sounds great live...
    What are you running from?
    Taking pills to get along
Creating walls to call your own
    So no one catches you?
Drifting off and doing all the things...
    That we... all... do

sure it would be cool to hear more from album x, but you have to admit that their catalogue has gotten big enough that it would be tough to please everyone. especially considering that they're touring a new album (unlike '05) which means 6-8 song slots are typically taken up by the new material right off the bat. having said that, i have noticed a little more repetition from show to show than in the past.

one funny thing about the songs that don't get played very often is that when they do, ed sometimes forgets words or verse order or something like that. i think it was on 'u' in santa barbara where he skipped the bridge and went straight to the last chorus. my buddy and i looked at each other like, 'something's wrong here,' but we didn't know what it was until the song ended and he sang the bridge after. cracked me up.

I´m always against the setlist bitching...mainly cause here we have so little chance of see them play live that it would be a shame to complain....but I have to say that the Gorge 2 was a surpringly standard setlist for what everyone could wait knowing the band....I mean..no No code...almost No lost dogs...Except little wing..nothing new or rare...it´s really strange...moreover thinking about eddie talking in sta barbara about the "mini gorge", that was enough to presume something very special to happen in the end of the tour...

I would have been really happy of being there, every pj show is amazing and welcome....but i understand those who where waiting something else...i mean...didn´t some people cross the whole US to attend that show?

because that is what you do when you go to tons of shows and you pick legs of each tour to follow..this year I went up the coast in 2003 I went down the coast.... you start comparing...daaahhh
Up the West Coast in 2006 and Hawaii++Santa Barbara, San Fran x 3, Portland, Gorge x2
Chicago and Down the Coast in 2003
    Seattle 2005
SF 2000, 2001, 2003--- oh or you can come to terms and realize you're the only one who cannot forgive yourself
