I'm (was) an uploader on (torrent site) Dime. Been demoted for a mistake I made which means I can't upload and share any more shows so I'm withholding my final torrent (which prior to demotion) was in the process of initial seeding until my rights are fully recovered! Take a look if interested

Some of that lingo - I feel so old
But as to the premise itself...if one does something against their policy or protocol - that I'm assuming they've agreed not to do - isn't demotion (or some kind of penalty) warranted? I mean, why boycott?
Two reasons really....I love to tape shows and upload them and I like to stand up to the moderators on these private torrent sites, they have such an attitude
"Hear me, my chiefs!
I am tired; my heart is
sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight
no more forever."

What a pain for us.

AKA "attempt at rallying mailbombers". This makes your demotion
permanent and irreversible.
> I believe my mistakes resulting in banning were trivial. It's a matter

> finding out a specific radio broadcast was disallowed.
It's also a matter of fact that you didn't stop seeding it. It's also a
matter of fact that you made two NABs and one NAV violation in 3 hours.
Believe it or not, that's a record.
> Secondly, a Nirvana upload was something you must have encountered before
Yes, we did. Take a look at
http://www.villagevoice.com/2005-04-19/ ... big-chill/ to know more
about the consequences it had for us.
> , they are a commonly traded band.
Definitively not on DIME.
> I intend to observe fully, the rules and restrictions on uploading in
> the future.
Thanks to your permanent demotion, we're absolutely certain that you will.
> I urge you to consider my appeal because I value Dime as a trading
> resource and community sharing mutual interests.
"Share mutual interest" is not compatible with some childish attempt at
blackmailing and your call for mailbombing.

Would be funnier if way more people leeched onto the torrent
you tried to uploada NIRVANA boot on Dime?

Everyone knows Courtney will try to personally destroy you if you do this.
That is why this is not allowed. Seriously.
There used to be this fucking AWESOME private site, onemoresolo.net , that was all nirvana torrents.
It was the best thing besides youkanfakoff ... I had about 100gigs of nirvana, including the entire goddamn european In Utero tour ... but that hard drive died on me ... and shortly thereafter the website was shut down (by order of courtney's lawyers, i'm guessing).
Dimeadozen, from what I understand, was actually formed out of the ashes of another site that WAS shut down for nirvana torrents ... BY courtney.
So they are pretty damn picky about NOT being shut down AGAIN for it.
Sorry for your loss man.
Blame courtney, not dime.
If I opened it now would you not understand?
I genuinely thought you were joking at this point. Courtney has always been a hate figure, never paid much attention to it until now... Still find it a little hard to believe but I really couldn't care less about Courtney Love's life!
