first complete overhaul since it was released in 2007 ... but really how much more can they do with a phone?

The big improvement I would like to see is battery life ... other than that i'm not so sure what else people want a phone to do.

Good point. My 4S batt lasts 1.5 days tops.

I have major operation system difficulties. I have one apple that does not talk.

Suri is really irritating. Some of the things she says, I would throw it out a window.

I really really hate to admit, but my droid is much faster. My droid is truthful.

My Ipod touch doesn't have a camera or a Suri, and so it just does what I want it too? I guess that is too much to ask for the newer models.

Meh...it looks like they copied Android's look to a degree. Also, the new "features" seem to be copied as well....just like they did with the notification center.

I agree with the other comment. It's time to focus on battery life. The OS is pretty solid.

I'm not a big tech guy when it comes to the hardware, but I wonder if apple is close to a major break through on battery life. They were able to increase the battery life considerably on the mac book air. So I wonder if it just a matter of time when they'll be able to increase the battery life on the phone.

I do find apple yo be accurate on how long they say a battery should last.

I had a google nexus tablet 7" and the estimated battery life was not very accurate. Sold it when the iPad mini came out and the battery life far exceeded the nexus.

I've been using it for about 24 hours.

I really like it. It's enough of a change to where it seems fresh from IOS 6.

Some features that I like so far are
    the new multitasking
    notification center
    Control Center
    Safari Tabs
    Camera Functionality
    Automatic App Updates

    Cons
Lots of white (almost too much for me)
    Phone Keyboard is horrible
Videos - The entire library is on the phone but you have to download them to play them.

not bad for a 1st beta version

Why is the keyboard so bad?

I paid extra for a key pad for my droid, at the time I was blind, and the buttons helped me. No Blind person can use a touch screen. It makes me sad to realize Iphones do not cater to the vision impaired.

my thought? They want everything that Steve Forstall created out of iOS. Must have been some huge arguments behind closed doors.

Safari on my ipad is way faster!

i feel like i got a brand new phone... really liking the update. goes to show how dated the old platform was.

the new software also corrected a wireless problem i have been having for the past week or two. my phone wasn't able to connect or even search for wireless signals. glad the download fixed it and saved me the headache of seeking a replacement through verizon/apple.

looks great on my ipad as well

hmm, haven't had much time to play around with 11.1. only downloaded it to get my phone updated.

Yeah, I really like it. It's a lot different, but it was a much-needed upgrade. Makes my iPhone 4 not feel as out-dated. I think I'll be getting the new 5s in the next couple weeks.

ive been avoiding any updates to my iphone 4s for fear of killing the battery life.

Is there a way to get rid of the stupid bookmarks in Safari? I don't need an Apple, Yahoo or Disney bookmark.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

Both my iPhone 4s and my iPad 2 seem to be working better. They worked fine before, but it seems like things are faster and more streamlined now.
