    Why is it deplorable?

Yes, racism is deplorable! (That is what you meant, I hope.)

It does make sense... but only if that is what the comment was intended to mean. ;)

As for brains being asleep on Sunday morning- I get it! Fog city in the brain, bit of a heat wave going on outside.

    Good message, but...

Does this kind of blatant racism running so rampant that we need to send a PSA out to the general public?

It'd me more poignant if they could apply it to something more modern day and to a type of scenario that people would actually encounter.

I wish I could say this kind of scenario is, indeed, unheard of but it wasn't that many years ago that I supervised shipping and receiving in a college bookstore and one of the student employees came to me and said he wanted me to receive a shipment of books because he didn't want to do it.

I said, "Why? That's what you're here for."

He replied, "Because he's this big black guy".

I thought about making him do the job but instead had him watch while I interacted with the guy in a friendly manner and later told him, "J., he's just a guy! What's the big deal?"

I agree that it's not unheard of. I'm sure everyone here has a story where they've come across something every so-and-so years. I just think the video is more so people can pat themselves on the back for not being a blatant racist and no real impact is drawn on the viewer where they can question themselves in scenarios they may actually come across in life.

I think something along the lines of this video poses a better question on what it is to be judgmental and to partake in racial profiling:
