Strange weekend

So last weekend was definitely a strange one...

It was both mine and my other half's birthdays over the space of a couple of days so we decided to visit a wildlife park in Cumbria. It is an amazing place, they do so much for conservation efforts around the world and their animals and staff are amazing.

Towards the end of the day one of the keepers was Killed by one of the tigers and unfortunately we witnessed
the tail end of the incident. To say it was surreal is an understatement. We were taken to one of the lemur houses and were pretty much locked in until the keeper was helicoptered off to hospital. During which time we could hear the animals were agitated and we also heard a couple of gunshots.

We drove back home pretty much in a state of shock.

The next day we decide to have a quieter day and just drive up the coast. Only for a couple of young kids to plow into the back of my car. To my horror one of the kids asked my other half if I was his mother!!

So I now have a damaged trapezius and torn rotator cuff. Hopefully my luck will change soon :)
