Album of the year so far, for me. Haters gonna hate, but I think its excellent, has far more depth to it than BGWTB (which I also really liked). Great modern rock record, and its great to see those guys out doing their thing.

To me its not AIC without Layne so i have no interest in this band. I really liked Jerry's solo stuff, and if they called themselves something different I'd have given it a fair chance just to see what Jerry came up with. Dont try to sell me clone cause i wont buy it.

Jerry cantrell is and always has been Alice In Chains! He's 100 times a better song writer today then he was 20 years ago! And I know jerry cantrell would agree with that!

Of course he'd say that, then stroll out on the stage and play Down In A Hole, Would?, Man In the Box, Them Bones and dozen other old tunes mixed with 4 or 5 new ones.

Dirt>Black gives way to blue>The devil put dinosaurs here>Alice in chains>Jar of flies>Facelift. In my opinion Low Ceiling is one of their best songs. Have been blasting it in my car often.
