I've been a member of greenpeace for 10 years and have followed there active protests in many areas, such as tackling over fishing, stopping rainforest destruction and creating greener cars. One area which is of vast importance is the save the artic campaign. Corporatons like shell and statoil want to drill for oil in the artic and greenpeace are trying to up the political pressure and convince world leaders to act. Many animals would be underthreat such as polar bears, the artic fox and the snowy owl and should any major ecological disaster occur , like a major oil spill it would threaten this unique environment. The aim is to create a global sanctuary safe from countries and companies that want to exploit it. To join the campaign sign up at www.savetheartic.org.

Thanks for posting this. Another Greenpeace member here. Sea Shepherds are doing great work this way too!
