Broken Heart Walkabout - NEED WRIGLEY TICKET

2 weeks ago my wife told me she wasn't "in love" with me anymore for reasons I still don't understand, and that she fell in love with someone else. 2 days ago she gave me divorce papers to sign, bringing an end to a 9-year relationship and 4 year marriage. Needless to say my heart is not in the best of shape. To initiate the healing process and get my head straight, I've decided to go on my own sort of walkabout, which will include visiting friends and family in San Diego, Portland, Chicago, D.C., Miami, and topping it off with a surf trip to Nicaragua before coming back home to Hawaii. I didn't originally plan on being in Chicago in July, but now that I will be there I can't think of anything better to distract me from the heartache than a live PJ show. I've been to 10 so far (I know that's not that much compared to some people on here), and all have been amazing. Considering the circumstances, I think this Wrigley Field show would be extra special. The problem is the show is obviously sold out. I was wondering if there were any forum members that had any suggestions on how to get a hold of a pair or if anyone had any they don't want/need (slim chance, I know). Trying not to pay the outrageous Stub Hub prices. Any help would be completely appreciated. Mahalo. - Rob

Hey Rob. I'm really sorry for the loss of your marriage but good on you for getting out & about & going walkabout. Re tix to Wrigley, every show & situation is different of course but in my experience there are always tix! Worse comes to worse go to the Wishlist pre-party the day before. Meanwhile, post around here, keep your thread bumped, post on Dimitris' tix thread & I'm 99.9% sure you will find one.

How do you get info on the Wishlist Pre-Party?

Also, looks like there's a bunch of people looking for Wrigley tix on here, so looking more likely that StubHub might be the only option. Anyone know if it's better to get them now or wait until right before the show? Looks like prices have climbed a little in the last couple weeks.

Hey Rob, sorry to hear about the recent heartbreak. Going through one myself but not that serious, only a year. I feel ya on not having tickets to a show you really need to clear your head. My advice is if you'll be in chicago then anyways and you can't find tix on here, wait. Go to wrigley that day and just hang around the stadium i'm positive you'll find tickets that are a lot cheaper than stubhub. (Thats what Im doing) Hell who knows maybe even stubhub will drop their prices within the week seeing as how there is still 700 tickets left on there.. Best of luck!

Probably no chance of 10c tix, but I would definitely go to Cubby Bear, Murphy's Bleachers, The Full Shilling, or Sluggers (the party is the afternoon of the show). There will be tix available, but be very careful. Lots for fake tix here based on my past experience. Best bet would be to hook-up with an extra 10C member who has an extra one.
