Best Bootleg of "Black"

I have some bootleg coupon codes I need to use and was looking for some ideas on good bootlegs to get that have what you all would consider to be the best version of "Black". I have about eight or ten bootlegs from the 2008-2012 era and right now I would say the D.C. bootleg from 2008 has what in my opinion would be the best version of "Black". Just curious on what the consensus out there is on this.

    I know it may seem a bit biased since I was at both of these shows but London 10 and Berlin 10 are a couple of the best versions I've ever heard. I saw them play it two more times and although they were good enough versions they sound very uneventful compared with the two I already mentioned.

    London got quite heavy by the time Mike's amazing solo was in full flow then the pace dropped for some great crowd singing (we belong together) and an extended fade out.

    Berlin was simply on another level that I don't believe will ever be matched simply because of the occasion (Roskilde 10th anniversary, it had emotion that I knew existed in music but had never seen unlocked before. I am still in awe of that 10 minutes 3 years later.)

    Others that spring to mind and that are available: London 09 (02 Arena), MSG 10, Melbourne 09, Montreal 11, Venice 10, Buenos Aires 11.

    There are so many more great pre-08 versions of the song on boots not available in the 10c store but you can find them for free here: http://www.pearljambootlegs.org (great quality recordings from the 00, 03, 05 and 06 tours, some of the audiophiles here might point you in a different direction but if you want to save on disk space it's the place to go.)

    Dima (dimitrispearljam) once created a thread about best versions of Black with youtube links. You can find the thread, check the links and decide your own.

    By the way, he did not take Berlin-10 into classification for the reasons mentioned earlier. As we like to say, it is from outer space.

    Thank God I finally have seen someone mentioning this bootleg. I am in love with it. It has one of the best versions of a lot of songs in it, IMHO. Alive, YLB, Footsteps, Crazy Mary are all unbelievable here. The band unquestionably is on a roll to give all their effort and time to create the best versions of songs in it.

    I have mentioned about this bootleg a few times here and there but did not stir any response. Maybe because 2009 bootlegs dont receive much respect, maybe because London bootlegs dont receive much respect or maybe other reasons... And I could not help feeling like Hankman, feeling like complaining cos I dont get response to my posts. :)

    Anyway, maybe being a Brit helps you appreciate London shows and I'm glad you mentioned it.

    It truly comes down to the quality of the show for me. It is maybe helped by the fact that the production on this boot was as good as the performance on the night. The only bit I didn't like was hearing Boom playing tons of bum notes all the way through Release. Terrible! Also if I remember correctly they played Love Reign O'er Me which for me is a PJ career low point. The Who never floated my boat but this song in particular is beyond boring and makes Ed struggle too much with the high notes.

    Agree with your points but they don't bother me much. They got a keynote guy in the roster now, so...

    Save your code and download a bunch of shows from 2000 and 03, and make sure you have Lo2L.

    Wow!! Very informative discussion. I for sure will get the Berlin 2010. I already have the London 2009 in the O2, and while I think that is top to bottom one of the best set lists, the version on Black still is not as high for me as D.C. 2008. I will check these out and report back.

    If you don't have buenos aires 2011 it's a must have not only for the head popping black but for every other song too.
