It is now less than 2 months to Wrigley and 5 months until the end of the tour but no info on whats in between!
There are fans from all over the world & US waiting to try and go see a show and the longer the delay in announcing the more expensive the flights and more difficult the logistics become. A lot of people have already had to nominate their holidays and are already out.
I appreciate that organising a tour is difficult but there is no reason why firstly the locations cant be announced so that people know if their city is in or out and can start saving if they have to travel. Separately, clearly the band know when they are not planning on touring so they should announce the weeks the tour may be on. That would at least let people have some idea!
Suspense is all well and good but at the end of the day its costing fans money!
I just feel the need to get this off my chest so its done now!

This is the luxury of being great..supply and demand. They know we will be there no matter what. Dog collars, scarves, side projects have to be milked, and then we hopefully get what most of us are here for, seniority based seating for non festival PJ shows. Again, when you are the best you get to call the shots.www.twitter.com/robert_harbin0

Good,I hope they announce a show tomorrow for next month and none of you can come. I'll get better seats.0

I, seemingly unlike evryone else, feel ur pain. It is the band's right to wait til whenevet to announce a tour, and it's up to them whether they even play or not. I do agree though, that it costs the average joe more money the longer they wait. A labor of love i guess.0

I've seen a couple of Ed shows in 2011 and 2012, but haven't seen the band since 2006. It's only to be expected, seeing as how they haven't really toured in support of an album since 2006. With limited income, kids heading to college this year and next, a recent home purchase, and a recent vehicle purchase, the cost of a show not in my town (Vegas) is going to prove to be a difficult, if not impossible expenditure. I am fine with that and understand it is the nature of the beast and how the band does business nowadays. If I get to see them next tour, great. If not, oh well.
That being said, the band is going to put butts in the seats no problem. To think that they have one iota of concern of how much it's going to cost you to get there, is a joke - one that should have become obvious at least five years ago. I love the band's music, and will continue to purchase it and see them live whenever possible. You can keep your dog collars, track suits, scarves, overpriced t-shirts, and other collectible nonsense.Osaka, Japan (2/21/95), San Diego (7/10/98), Las Vegas (10/22/00), San Diego (10/25/00), Las Vegas (6/6/03), Las Vegas (7/6/06), Los Angeles (7/9/06), VH1 Rock Honors (7/12/08), Ed Solo (7/8/11), Ed Solo (11/1/12), Los Angeles (11/23/13)0 -

Wow, I didn't even realize this. So the first 3 weeks of September Matt will be in Europe with Soundgarden. I agree with the OP. Fuck this shit. I had so much optimism earlier in the year. Oh how it has deteriorated."I've got things to do and things to say in my own way..."0 -

i really feel you should show pearl jam that you are angry and disgruntled. the way to do this of course is to not go to their shows, especially if you have a fan club number lower than 139XXX. please set the example and don't enter the lottery or buy tickets during the public on sale.I'll ride the wave where it takes me......0 -

Considering when the tour is, it is perfect reasonable that the dates haven't been announced yet. Most tours are announced about 3 - 4 months before they start, so if PJ announces soon (which they will), they will be right on a regular schedule. So I don't really know what the OP.is freaking out about, or why he or she thinks PJ should be considering the cost of his or her plane tickets, and whether or not they'll cost $30 more a month from now. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0

Sorry to say this, but a so-called delay (that's your own perception) is not costing you money. Your own choices may be costing you money, but the band isn't.
Secondly, the fact that you have to pick your vacation time 5 months in advance is an issue with your company and not with the band. I find it ridiculous that companies have that requirement. The only people we should try to get even with...
...are those who've helped us.
Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.0 -
