Missing father Tim Bosma found dead, Hamilton police say

http://news.nationalpost.com/2013/05/14 ... ound-dead/

For those who don't know he was selling a truck and 2 individuals (human trash) showed up last Friday evening and he went for a test ride with them and hadn't been seen since ... and now his wife is a widow and their 2 year old daughter has no father all over a fucking truck.

So people just be careful when selling stuff on kijiji or craigslist or any other method.

the guy hasn't even been charged with the murder yet, let alone been found guilty.

I never allow anyone to come to my house when I sell something, and when I meet them somewhere I am always armed.

100% agree ....emotions get in the way sometimes (edited original post)....usually I dont jump to conclusions however reading that
    1) police found the stolen truck at his moms home
    2) police found the charred remains of his body at the suspects property
    3) he matched descrpition down to tatoo on wrist
I felt alright making the leap, but none the less just a sad day for that family

I think we *always* need to be careful in any situation where you're in close quarters with strangers...not to mention also when money or valuable items are involved.

Me, I wouldn't feel comfortable putting myself in that position; just isn't worth the convenience of selling or buying something that way.

It's awful what happened. But just because an isolated violent act that stemmed from selling a vehicle happened, people should not be led to believe that it commonly happens.

This is the news for you, causing people to be fearful for their lives, scared of every person outside, scared to leave the house. We take a chance almost every minute of our lives. Being aware and skeptical can be a good thing. Living in fear of the world is not.

This is why I refuse to watch the ridiculous mainstream news.
  • I've had countless people in my home buying stuff I've put on kijiji. I think this instance, as Jean pointed out, carry the same chances as winning the lottery. same thing after Vince Li attacked, killed, and cannibalized Tim McLean on that Greyhound bus. People were afraid to travel that way now. I mean, seriously, do people really think something that rare is going to happen again? I'd say a greyhound would probably be the safest place to be after something like that happens. The chances of something like that happening again are exponentially rarer than the chance of the first occurence.

I don't live in fear, but am aware of who I'd let in my home. Not that I believe everyone's out to get me - I guess it has more to do with my comfort level.

(could also be a product of living in this crazy-ass city :P )
