Gear for a show?

What is your opinion of appropriate gear to wear for a show? I personally wore concert tees from 2000 during the 09 tour, but may switch to my 2003 tee for Wrigley. Also thought about wearing my 98 red soccer jersey. I know some of you don't wear PJ stuff on "game day", partly because of Jeremy Piven in PCU and partly due to personal reasons but I'd like to read your reasoning as well.

    I always wear a pj shirt to a show. The older the better. Actually come to think of it,I buy shirts at shows,put em away then bring one out at the next show. I know I should wear them more. Last time I saw pj in 2011 I bought every shirt. I have a merch problem.what can I say. Forgive me for asking what's the Jeremy Piven,PCU thing? Enjoy the show. It's gonna be epic.

    Anyhow, I weep for those that feel the need to give others a hard time about it.....That it appeared in a 1994 movie and it's 2013 tells you all you need to know about the maturity progression of some (btw, not OP, clearly he has no issue with it).

    Personally i really love the pj sports themed shirts and collect them. By now i have about 10 from different cities. Enough for the next tour.

    I like seeing different shirts from different tours, the older the better. But I only wear shirts from shows/tours I attended, that's my rule.

    I never wear the bands clothes to the show, but don't mind if others do. For Chicago I'm going to wear something light as I'm sure it's going to be hot out.

    I'm still debating what to wear when I'm traveling to Chicago. Do I wear PJ stuff so other travelers an I can bond or do I stay away from that as it would show I'm a tourist.

    I might go for a Team McCready shirt for traveling. PJ fans will recognize it but its not so obvious.

    I'm over thinking this aren't I.

    I've been rolling with my orange/blue soccer Jersey from 98 the last few years. It stands out and is bright, and even thought it does say PEARL JAM across the front it still seems to fly under the radar because of being a jersey. But mostly there are not many of them around anymore so it always starts conversations with the usual "I remember those!!" folks and I somehow end up finding people from previous shows because they see the shirt. I wore it to the Missoula show and was on the rail right in the middle and that baby stands out in the photos.

    Nope, no problems with it. I usually buy some current stuff to wear later although I love my PJ San Diego 09 Padres shirt (which I may have to wear come to think of it being we are at Wrigley, but then again the Padres knocked the Cubs out of the Playoffs in 84, well I can't jinx the Cubs any worse) and I love my Chicago 09 shirt with the Alive guy on the left chest. I'd buy those for every show.
